The opening song, Let Everything that has Breath has
a nice bass line that Matt Held did a good job playing.
Kathy, Andrea, Lori , and Jenni do nice harmonies.
The song reminds us that God enjoys our praises
any place, anytime, and with any instrument.
The second song, You Found Me, is about our discovery
of the new relationship with Christ and appreciating who
He is and what He has done for us. Greg’s drums really
add to the song. Cindy has a nice flowing violin moving
throughout the verse.
The title song, I Could Sing of Your Love, is the
third song
on the cd. It is a praise song with a beautiful
instrumental ending. The Spirit really moved through
the instruments. Listen to the great vocal harmony.
This is only the second time we played the song!
The back cover photo was taken by Abby Miller,
my daughter, the night we recorded
Every Good Thing Makes
A Difference. Doug does a good
job singing this up tempo song
and plays a nice lead guitar. Lori, Kathy, Jenni, Aimee and
Lynn
round out the vocals. Tam and Darlene are on keys.
Melo and Mike are on percussion. Doug and Matt are on guitar,
and Bob is on bass. |
Song Within a Song I wrote after
attending my first Jean
Watson concert. I went home afterward, wrote the song in
five minutes, and sent it to her. She changed a few things
in it and toured England with the song a few years ago.
You’re hearing the original tune with Jenni Held doing
all the vocals. It is one of my favorites. Great lyrics.
The song Jesus was recorded on an earlier cd, and
because
it is often requested I thought I would record a better
version
of it .It came out well. God’s Peace is another song
I had
written a few years ago. It is an instrumental that I have
played live at weddings as well as funerals.
Because You Love Me was written
over the summer.
Lori Jackson does a great job on vocals and Jeff Miller
Miller supports the song with some excellent trombone work.
The chorus is intimate.
Best Friends…I wrote this in the
summer after listening to a
Marc Ermold sermon on Wednesday. This song is about our
relationship with Christ and becoming more like him…
wonderful song. Marc plays a great sax, and Bob Capone
plays an excellent bass guitar. Andrea does a nice job on
vocals,
with Lori helping out on the chorus. Mike, Matt and
Steve,
and I also do a nice job in rounding out the song….
another favorite of mine! What is also interesting about
this song is that while we were playing it we got another
song
out of it….a song within a song so to speak. |
