Children's Ministry
The Children’s Ministry at Grace Fellowship is
comprised of a team of individuals that love God and love children. It is
our purpose to partner with parents in raising up the leaders of tomorrow
through teaching and being living examples of God’s Word. The purpose is
echoed in the mission statement for the Children’s Ministry:
“Leading Children To Jesus And Training Them For Life”.
The Children’s Ministry at Grace Fellowship is
comprised of two departments: Pre-elementary and Elementary. The
Pre-elementary ministers to newborns up through kindergarten. The
Elementary department ministers to children in grades 1 through 6.
Pre-Elementary
Precious Pebbles Class (newborns to age 2)
– Babies hear the Word of God even at this very young age through song and
story. The teachers provide a secure and encouraging atmosphere as they
minister God’s love. It’s never too early in life to experience the love
of God.
Living Stones Class (2 and 3 yr old) –
Children begin to learn who God is and how much He loves them as revealed
in His Word. This learning process takes place through Bible stories,
singing and playing instruments, puppet shows and crafts. The children
learn while having fun, an unbeatable combination!
Stepping Stones Class (4 years thru
kindergarten) – The children are taught vital biblical principles
which they can apply to their lives today. They begin to study the Bible
more in depth and even learn to memorize certain scriptures. They begin to
learn what God has provided for them; salvation, healing and prosperity as
well as who they are in Christ. There is no shortage of fun in this class
either!
Elementary
Boulder class (1st thru 4th
grade) – Here the children continue to learn about Bible
principles; who they are in Christ and about the Holy Spirit. Learning
occurs through various methods: puppets, games, object lessons, crafts and
video presentations. As the children grow in these areas, we believe they
will develop a greater confidence and hunger for the things of God.
Cornerstone Class (5th and 6th
grade) – In this class, Bible principles continue to be taught
with a greater emphasis on application in the child’s life. This class
greatly encourages being a doer of the word of God. The children will have
several opportunities during this class to invite their friends and
schoolmates to outreach activities and events. Not only are these
activities fun, they also encourage children to reach out to others.
